Jota Joti

Jota Joti was an amazing weekend! All Scouts who came had so much fun. We spoke to people from Australia, Canary Islands, Sicily, Canada, Great Britain and much, much more. Thank you to Gavin and Tertia Penkin who hosted Jota Joti at their home. Pictures will be posted soon.

Jota / Joti is a Jamboree (Noisy get together) on the Internet and Air. The aim is to talk to Scouts in as many countries as possible and learn more about Scouting. This is a Global event where we talk to scouts from Sri-Lanka, USA, UK, China and even more...

Jota / Joti will be hosted at Gavin Penkin’s house over the weekend of the 17th and 18th October 2009. This is because Gavin has the necessary Radio and Internet equipment and a large antenna. Scouts will be allowed to come and go as they please during the weekend. No one will be allowed to sleep over on the Saturday night. Scouts are to bring their own food and drinks for each day. A Gas Braai facility will be provided. Costumes may be brought with as there is a pool.

Parents are welcome to join in and participate.

Over the weekend this page will display a link (will be placed below), when you follow the link you will be able to see what is happening at Jota / Joti live through a web cam from Gavin's house.
